JobKeeper Payments in WorkDESK

Update changes Version 3 - 07/08/2020

An updated version of the Job Keeper Payments manual for WorkDESK can be downloaded above.
Changes since last version:
Yellow highlighted on Page 3  and Page 11 with corrections for processing Finish Fortnights.
Page 15 and 16 contain more detailed examples.
Page 17 and 18 contain updated information for making any required corrections or adjustments.

Update changes Version 2 - 29/04/2020

If you have already processed JobKeeper Payments you should likely not require any processing changes but please review this updated documentation for any future JobKeeper Top Up pays.

Please also review the links below for the Treasury and ATO documentation to ensure you are informed the most up to date changes.

You will not require a software update to process Start Payments and Top Ups, however an upgrade notice will be released in the next few days for processing ‘Final Payments’ and adjustments or amendments for any incorrect reporting.

Extension of time to enrol for the JobKeeper scheme

Updated Information from ATO JobKeeper-Payment

The Commissioner has extended the time to enrol for the initial JobKeeper periods, from 30 April 2020 until 31 May 2020.

If you enrol by 31 May you will still be able to claim for the
fortnights in April and May, provided you meet all the eligibility
requirements for each of those fortnights. This includes having paid
your employees by the appropriate date for each fortnight.

For the first two fortnights (30 March – 12 April, 13 April –
26 April), we will accept the minimum $1,500 payment for each fortnight
has been paid by you even if it has been paid late, provided it is paid
by 8 May 2020. If you do not pay your staff by this date, you will not be able to claim JobKeeper for the first two fortnights.

You can enrol and claim for JobKeeper earlier if you choose. For
example, you can enrol by the end of April to claim JobKeeper payments
for the two fortnights in April.
